Heather and Sne's Wedding Slideshow - IslandWood Wedding Photographer

All of our weddings are extremely special but this one was a little different...

This wedding was very close to our hearts as Heather and the Izumi family have been our, the Ohta family's, closest family friends for as long as I can remember.  We used to call them Auntie Lou and Uncle Ken.  Our families used to do everything together and there was never a Thanksgiving growing up that we weren't together as family.

My parents moved up to Washington State from Los Angeles, CA, at the same time as the Izumi's back in 1980 or '81.  Heather was the same age as my sister, Nikki, and Cathy, was my age.  I can remember our parents talking about how dark it was here in Washington, how there are so many trees and how the freeways are so small.  I think having each other to lean on and to share memories of LA made the transition to Washington easier.  Lots of things are easier when your closest friends are near...

That is why when Heather contacted Heidi and I to share her love story, we were extremely honored and excited for the possibilities.  This wedding brought our families back together for the first time in many, many years, or at least where we were almost all together at the same time.  This time we got to introduce wives, kids and got to share in Heather and Snehal getting married.

Sne is an awesome guy and his family was so incredible.  It's so wonderful and so powerful to watch families and friends sharing with such compassion and love.

The venue, IslandWood, on Bainbridge Island, WA, was a perfect location for their wedding.  This venue is nestled on 225 acres of protected forest land.  IslandWood is a learning center where individuals can come "to understand their ability to change the world for the better".

The couple was amazing, the weekend was fantastic, the venue was spectacular and the other vendors were incredible to work with!!!  Not sure we could ask for more...

Cari and JR's Wedding - Chelan Wedding Photographer

Cari and JR's wedding was beautiful!!!  Hot but beautiful...!!!

Chelan is always a special place but it become even more special when the couple is from this area.  Cari and JR such are a fantastic couple and we had so much fun working with the two of them on their wedding day!!! 

Their wedding was held at Shadow Mountain Events in Chelan, WA.  Shadow Mountain is always a beautiful venue for a wedding, and Jennifer and her staff do an incredible job out there. 

It was our honor and pleasure to be there for Cari and JR!!!  We hope you enjoy the glimpse into their wedding day....!!!

  

Katie and Alex's Wedding - Seattle Wedding Photographer

It was one of those incredible summer days in Seattle.  The weather was perfect (sunny and bluebird), the traffic was not "too" bad and Heidi and I got to spend the day with an awesome couple.

Katie and Alex are wonderful people and that was evident in the amount of LOVE that everyone shared with them on  their wedding day.  We are extremely honored to have been there to capture and share their LOVE.

Meghan and Justin's Wedding - Leavenworth Wedding Photographer

Here is a glimpse into Meghan and Justin's wedding day.  They were married in Leavenworth, WA with the Wenatchee River and mouth of the Icicle Canyon as the backdrop for their day.

The couple was gorgeous and the day was perfect for a wedding.  We were honored to have shared such a beautiful day with our couple.

MaryCatherine and Darren's Wedding - Spokane Wedding Photographer

It was our honor and pleasure to photograph MaryCatherine and Darren's Wedding earlier this year.  Their wedding was in Spokane, WA and it was a beautiful day for a wedding.  The ceremony was at the student chapel at Gonzaga University and the reception was held at Barister Winery.

The couple was gorgeous and the day was perfect!!!
