Chief for a Day - Wenatchee - 2015

Chief for a Day has become one of our favorite days of the year!!!  We feel so honored and thankful to have the opportunity to share such incredible moments and memories.  If you ever have the chance to participate in a Chief for a Day, please take the time to share yourself and make memories with others.  Chief for a Day is one of the most important events that we have ever been a part of, and we are so thankful for every moment we get to share.

Katie and Alex's - Seattle Engagement Session

We had a great time photographing Katie and Alex's Engagement Session!!!

It was a beautiful, sunny Seattle day which seems to put everyone in a better mood, and it made for a gorgeous morning.  We started at Safeco Field and then made our way to Golden Gardens, all while enjoying some Seattle sun.

Katie and Alex's Seattle Engagement Session - Sneak Peek

It turned out to be a beautiful, spring day in Seattle and we were lucky enough to be photographing a gorgeous and awesome couple, Katie and Alex.  We are super fired up for their wedding at the Canal in Ballard, WA this June!!!

A month of teaching classes at Artis in Leavenworth, WA...

Here we go!!!  Today starts our month of teaching classes at Artis in Leavenworth, WA.  Artis is formerly Icicle Arts and this will be our second year teaching classes through the month of April.

This years class will focus on Environmental Portraits, or Portraits in Nature, with a focus on lighting our subjects while exposing for the background.  There are many expensive lighting tools that we could purchase to illuminate our subject but we are going to focus on using "guerrilla lighting" techniques to light our subjects.  Guerrilla Lighting just refers to using simple techniques and/or what is around us to light our subjects.  Often it's not practical to carry heavy lighting equipment, and since we are also working with adults and young kids, we will focus on using what we have at home or what is around us to create the images that we want not the images that the camera takes...

 - Ages 6-9 from 3:15-4:15pm
 - Ages 10+ from 4:30-5:30pm
Adults Class
 - Saturday April 11th from 12:30-4:30pm

Wenatchee Valley Chamber Banquet 2015

We are honored to have photographed the Wenatchee Valley Chamber Banquet for a second year.  This is a gathering of inspiring business professionals and owners from through out the greater Wenatchee Valley.  This evening brings us together to celebrate one another and our efforts to make the Wenatchee Valley a better place to live, play, work and travel.  We are Better Together!!!

Some businesses sponsor a table and they often go to town with decorations.  Many of these decorations are actually gifts for the people that get to sit at the tables, so it becomes a competition to find the table with the best goodies.

Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse - Practice - Day 1, 2015

Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse is an awesome lacrosse club for youth (grades 3/4) through high school kids and is located in Wenatchee, WA.  They have done a great job building this club and providing a great experience for the kids.  There are some great coaches developing some fantastic players along with some very dedicated parents, which is necessary for any program to succeed.  It will be my pleasure and honor to assist where I can with the Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse program this year.
